Siegi's Sausage Factory & Restaurant

It seems like every time me and my husband pass a restaurant that looks appealing to us we always say ''oh we have go there sometime''. We have said that phrase so many times when passing by Siegi's. Finally on Friday we decided to stop and check it out. One side of Siegi's is a market and the other side is a really adorable German restaurant.

Not only do they have a huge display of different variety of sausages, but they also have a great variety of cheeses.

Loved the barn sliding doors.

This family owned/operated business has been going since 1985. They really have brought they meaning ''family'' into their restaurant atmosphere. The wait staff is very caring, cheery and quick to meet your needs.

My husband is the ''brat'' expert, since being from Wisconsin. He was in heaven when he saw the never ending options of sausage dishes to choose from. My husband chose the venison/regular sausage dish, and for me I desired soup. Their ''Special'' soup of the day was, 5 cheese soup with homemade croutons, yum!

Our plate presentation was fabulous, the food was delivered quickly and our belly's were absolutely satisfied.

In The Raw Brookside Interview

On Wednesday, I had the privilege to sit down with Head Sushi Chef Mandy & Chef Marvin to learn more about In The Raw Sushi Bar located at Brookside. This is one of five locations in Oklahoma (Norman, Oklahoma City, BOK Arena, and South Tulsa).

The hostess greeted us quickly and seated us at our table. We were immediately served our waters and greeted by our waitress.

For starters we quickly decided on the Pork Gyoza appetizer. They are filled with cabbage, ground pork, and garlic chives. You have the option to have them pan sauteed or fried. These sweet and savory dumplings are a must!

I visited with Chef Marvin at the sushi bar, surrounded with guests watching all the chefs in action. The interaction between the chefs and the guests was very personable. They served the food in a timely manner while making sure the plate presentation was perfect.

Special LilyAsher sushi roll in the making.

Soon after returning to our table, we were presented with this whimsical roll by Chef Marvin, he calls it the ''LilyAsher Special''. Thanks Marvin!
